Du spirituel dans L’art / Kandinsky
À partir de la théorie des couleurs de Kandinsky basée sur son ouvrage Du spirituel dans l’art. J’ai souhaité associer une couleur à une sonorité, comme le faisait déjà Kandinsky dans ses ecrits, notament en comparant les nuances de bleu à des instruments allant du violon à l’orgue.
Pour effectuer une association de ce genre, j’ai pris en compte ce que symbolise chaque couleur auprès de notre inconscient collectif, mais aussi et surtout tenté de percevoir l’émotion qu’elles provoquent en nous-même. Il ne s’agit donc pas d’un exercice de précision mais d’émotion pour le musicien et moi afin de créer et accorder le son à la valeur subjective d’une couleur.

Art of spiritual Harmony

From the colour theory “Art of spiritual harmony’, I wanted make the simple association of the colour and the sound similar to Kandinsky’s tries in his own book, for example by comparing shades of blue with rope instruments going from violin to organ.

To make such an association, I considered what these colours symbolise, but also and overall tried to perceive the emotion we feel through the the colour itself. Therefore, it cannot be considered as a precision exercice but more an emotional work for the musician and myself in order to create sounds as close as possible to the subjective value of a colour.
